Peekrate complies with applicable privacy laws and processes personal data lawfully and transparently.

1. Purposes of Processing

We process personal data to:

  1. Create and manage accounts (verification, fraud prevention)
  2. Provide the Service (image-based quizzes/ratings, results, follow-up chat)
  3. Process payments and refunds
  4. Respond to inquiries and resolve disputes
  5. Ensure security and service stability
  6. Send marketing/event updates (only with consent)

2. Data We Process

We collect the minimum necessary data.

(1) Account and Membership

  • Required: email/ID, password hash
  • Optional: nickname, profile image, bio (if provided)

(2) Service Usage (Uploaded Images & Generated Data)

  1. Uploaded Images

    • User-provided images for rating/quiz results.
    • Images are stored in a private bucket with no public URLs.
    • Access is via time-limited signed URLs (typically under 1 minute).

  2. Generated Results & Chat Logs

    • Rating results, explanations, and chat history.
    • Stored only for the minimum period needed for service quality, support, and abuse prevention.

  3. Usage Logs

    • Access time, IP address, device/browser info, cookies/session IDs, error logs.

(3) Payments and Refunds

  • Order ID, amount, payment date/time, payment status, PG transaction ID
  • We do not store full payment method details (handled by the payment processor).

(4) Customer Support

  • Contact details and inquiry content (including attachments provided by the user)

3. Retention Periods

We retain data only as long as necessary or required by law.

  • Account data: until account deletion (or longer if legally required)
  • Payment/transaction records: up to 5 years (e-commerce law)
  • Support records: up to 3 years or until dispute resolution
  • Service logs: up to 1 year for security purposes
  • Uploaded images: deleted after analysis and result delivery (see Section 4)

4. Temporary Storage & Deletion of Uploaded Images

  1. Private Storage: Images are stored in encrypted private storage with no public access.
  2. Signed URLs: Access requires authenticated sessions and short-lived signed URLs.
  3. Short Expiry: Signed URLs expire within about 1 minute.
  4. Deletion: Images are deleted after analysis/results are delivered.
  5. Hashing (Optional): Non-reversible hashes may be stored to prevent re-upload of harmful content.

5. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data only with trusted processors to provide the Service.

6. Processors (Outsourced Processing)

  • Payment processing (PG): payment and refund handling
  • Cloud infrastructure: hosting, data storage, logging
  • Email delivery: transactional emails

We disclose required details if processing is outsourced to third parties.

7. International Transfers

If data is transferred abroad, we will notify users of the destination country, method, items transferred, and safeguards.

8. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your data by contacting us.

9. Security Measures

We apply access control, encryption, account protection, logging, and least-privilege policies.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

11. Automated Processing Notice

Ratings, explanations, and chat responses may be generated by AI/LLMs. You may request additional explanation via support.
